Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of app development and maintenance services provided by Joiin ("we", "us", "our"). By engaging us to build or maintain an app, you ("client", "you") agree to these Terms.

We provide flat rate custom mobile app design, development, and publishing for iOS and Android, at a once off build fee of R5,000, followed by ongoing maintenance at R999 per month once your app is live.

The build fee covers the design and development of an app of standard scope and complexity, as outlined on our Pricing page. Work that falls outside standard scope (for example, complex custom backends, third party integrations, or bespoke payment systems) will be scoped and quoted separately before any additional work begins.

The R5,000 build fee is payable upfront before work begins. The R999/month maintenance fee begins once your app is published and live, and is billed monthly in advance. Fees paid to Apple and Google for developer accounts are separate and payable directly to those platforms.

Monthly maintenance is billed on a month to month basis with no lock in contract. You may cancel at any time by notifying us in writing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Once cancelled, your app will continue to function as is but will no longer receive updates, fixes, or support from us.

The once off build fee is non refundable once design or development work has commenced, except where required by law.

Your app is published under your own Apple Developer and Google Play Developer accounts. You own the app, its content, and your business data. We retain ownership of any general purpose tools, templates, or frameworks used to build it.

By using our services, you agree that any app we build or maintain on your behalf will not be used to:

• Host or distribute illegal content, or facilitate illegal activity of any kind.
• Infringe on the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
• Distribute malware, spyware, or any code intended to harm users or other systems.
• Collect or process user data in violation of applicable data protection laws (including South Africa's POPIA).
• Impersonate another person, business, or organisation, or otherwise mislead or defraud users.
• Send unsolicited bulk communications (spam) or engage in phishing.
• Violate the platform policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate services for any project that we reasonably believe breaches this Acceptable Use Policy, without refund of fees already paid.

We aim to deliver a working, reliable app, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of your app, including lost revenue or business opportunities, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

Publishing to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store is subject to those platforms' own review and approval processes, which are outside of our control. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve any review feedback, but cannot guarantee approval timelines.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
